County Ordinance 114 (1998) - Well and Water Supply Management
The purpose of the Well and Water Supply Management Ordinance is to provide standards for and regulation of wells and water supplies to protect groundwater and the environment and to promote public health, safety, and general welfare of Dakota County.
This includes their location and construction; necessary modification and reconstruction; operation, maintenance and repair; orderly and permanent sealing; and annual maintenance permitting, including registered use wells and unused wells.
