Driver Sentenced in Burnsville Fatal Hit and Run
| [October 10, 2008] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Armando Velasquez, age 20 of Faribault, was sentenced today to 57 months in prison by Judge Timothy McManus in connection with a fatal hit and run on April 5, 2008 in Burnsville, resulting in the death of Carlos Eduardo Noriega, age 32 of Prior Lake. Velasquez was also ordered to pay restitution in an amount to be determined. Velasquez pleaded guilty in August to one count of Criminal Vehicular Homicide. |
