Man Pleads Guilty and Is Sentenced in Cold Case Kidnapping from West St. Paul
| [June 21, 2010] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Che Lamar Romero, age 40, currently residing in federal prison in California, pled guilty to two counts of Kidnapping (Safe Release) and was sentenced today to 84 months in prison by Judge Martha Simonett in connection with two separate incidents in West St. Paul in 2002. Romero was also ordered to pay restitution in an amount to be determined. This sentence is an upward departure from the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines. |
