Woman Sentenced for Killing Three in 2008 Fatal Car Crash
| Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that Brittany Rose Mertz (formerly Krueger), age 22 of St. Paul, was sentenced today to one year of probation, 200 hours of community work service by Judge Jerome Abrams in connection with an automobile crash resulting in the deaths of one adult and two children and serious injuries to two other children on April 17, 2008 on Highway 52 near 117th Street in Inver Grove Heights. She was also ordered to pay restitution, complete a safe driving course and participate in a restorative conference if the victims agree. For more information, see the attached news release. |
