Stillwater Police Officer Charged with Crimes
| [October 15, 2008] Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom announced that his office filed criminal charges* today against Scott Gerald Geving, age 49 of Marine on St. Croix, charging him with attempting to commit inappropriate sexual conduct while he was on duty as a Stillwater police officer. Backstrom said that his Office is prosecuting this case at the request of the Washington County Attorney’s Office to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest. |
