The Safe Dakota Coalition project coordinates activities with the
County Sheriff and police departments and all high schools throughout the county to increase the use of seat belts and decrease intoxicated and distracted driving in order to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on Dakota County roadways.
Participating on the Coalition are representatives from the
County Attorney’s Office,
County Sheriff’s Department,
Public Health,
Transportation, police departments and high schools throughout Dakota County.
Monica Jensen, Dakota County Attorney's Office, is the coordinator of the Safe Dakota Coalition.
The Dakota County Traffic Safety Project, coordinated by the
County Sheriff’s Department, combats drunk driving by participating in a statewide effort to enforce impaired driving through increased patrols and education.
