Alcohol is the most commonly used drug among adolescents. To reduce teen drinking, everyone in the community must work together, including youth, parents, educators, law enforcement, city officials, and managers and workers at bars, restaurants, and liquor stores.
Many agencies and groups in Dakota County are working to reduce teen drinking, including the Public Health Department, Attorney's Office, County Sheriff, school districts, cities, and many state and local organizations. The
Dakota Partnership for Healthy Communities has targeted underage drinking as a focus area.
