Tours of The Recycling Zone are open to Dakota County residents and groups (girls and boy scouts, churches, etc.) for free. Learn about proper management of household chemicals, recyclables and problem materials such as computers and other home electronics. The tour looks at what happens at The Recycling Zone and the importance of pollution prevention.
Schedule a Tour Tours must be scheduled a minimum of one week in advance. Tours can be scheduled
up to 6 months in advance.

Group size 5–25 guests
Groups smaller than five will be asked to schedule their tour with larger groups already booked. Group leader One adult group leader is required to accompany the tour group at all times. For groups with children, multiple leaders are encouraged.
Time
Tours generally last one hour and are available Mondays, Tuesdays (except the second Tuesday of every month) and Fridays from 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Dressing for the tour The tour is primarily conducted indoors, but weather appropriate attire is encouraged. Open-toed shoes, high heels or sandals are not allowed.
Waivers Group leaders will be required to sign a waiver form prior to the tour.
