ATV and Off-Highway Motorcycle
Minnesota Statute 84.922 requires that all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) owned by Minnesota residents must be registered unless exempt. A public use ATV registration is valid for three years from the year of issuance.

How To Obtain 
An ATV registration can be purchased by the owner, in person, at: 
The owner must provide: 
  • registration number
  • make 
  • model 
  • year 
  • serial number 
  • engine size in HP or cubic centimeters (cc's) 
  • weight of ATV
Required Forms 

  • Bill of Sale, if change of ownership. 
Required Identification 

  • Owner's driver's license/state ID.
Required Fees 

  • Varies, depending on whether the registration is a transfer, renewal, duplicate, etc.
