After receiving your Notary Commission, you must register your signature in your county of residence.
Register your signature at any of three Dakota County locations:
Requirements:
In Person:
- Notary Commission certificate
- A $20.00 fee is required to record the signature. This is payable to Dakota County (cash or check only)
- A current driver’s license
- Visit any of the three locations listed above
By Mail:
- Notary Commission certificate
- A $20.00 fee is required to record the signature. This is payable to Dakota County (cash or check only)
- Your signature notarized by another notary on a blank sheet of white paper. This must include 2 of your signatures: One exactly as name shows on commission card and one as you normally sign.
- Mail certificate and fees to the Hastings location
After your commission is recorded, your Notary Commission certificate will be returned to you.
