Data is available in areas depicted in blue on the map to the right.

File format is .xyz comma delimited ASCII text file.

The data has a vertical datum of NAVD 1929 and is in the Dakota County coordinate system.

The LiDAR data was generated from a point cloud and is a representation of a bald earth surface with points gridded to five feet.

The downloadable files are larger than 30MB and when unzipped will be 300MB.

Files are named by the portion of the township that they represent.  For example 112-18-NE_BaldEarth_29_DSP_5ft.zip represents the Northeast quarter of Township 112 Range 18.  For Township and Range information consult the Office County Map.
