Limited English Proficiency Plan
The Dakota County Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Plan represents Social Services, Public Health, and Employment and Economic Assistance strategies for ensuring effective communication between persons with language barriers and county agency staff.
The LEP Plan has been developed to serve clients, prospective clients, family members of clients or prospective clients, or other interested members of the public who do not speak English or speak limited English. Residents with LEP shall not be excluded from programs or from receiving information or experience delays, denials, or termination of public services because of language barriers.
