The
Environment and Natural Resource Management Policy Plan is a chapter within the Dakota County 2020 Comprehensive Plan. This Plan establishes the guidelines for County efforts in environment and natural resource protection, preservation and management. Environmental issues and natural resources addressed in this Plan include: agricultural land, surface water and groundwater, aggregate resources, undeveloped natural areas, wildlife, significant scenic and scientific areas, sustainability, energy, and waste.
In this Plan, Dakota County promotes shared efforts to guide County and local government decision-making and to prioritize activities. Shared efforts to develop appropriate strategies and work plans to implement this Plan will directly contribute to the improvement and maintenance of a healthy environment for present and future generations.
