To date, the CJIIN project staff and consultants have:

1. Developed an implementation plan to:
• eliminate barriers to communication
• promote information sharing across agency boundaries
• increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the criminal justice system
2. Documented the processes used by criminal justice agencies, including courts, corrections, law enforcement, and detention
3. Began re-engineering redundant and inefficient processes
