A new look at senior housing
Cahill CommonsLearn more about affordable senior housing options available in Dakota County at the annual Senior Showcase on Sept. 14 from 1–4 p.m.

The Senior Showcase, held by the Dakota County Community Development Agency, gives the public an opportunity to take guided tours of senior housing developments in the area.

Six senior housing developments will be open for tours:
  • Cobblestone Square, 15848 Emperor Avenue, Apple Valley
  • Oakwoods of Eagan, 2065 Park Center Drive, Eagan
  • Rivertown Court, 1791 South Frontage Road, Hastings
  • Cahill Commons, 5840 Cahill Avenue, Inver Grove Heights
  • Parkview Plaza, 730 South Plaza Drive, Mendota Heights
  • River Heights Terrace, 1720 Thompson Avenue, South St. Paul
These buildings are a part of the CDA’s Senior Housing Development Program which provides over 1,300 affordable apartments for seniors over the age of 55.

The following informational resources will be available at assigned buildings for the afternoon:

  • DARTS (Rivertown Court & River Heights Terrace)
  • Hayes Community & Senior Center (Cobblestone Square)
  • Neighbors, Inc. (Parkview Plaza)
  • Senior LinkAge Line® (Cahill Commons) 
  • Valley Ridge Senior Housing (Oakwoods of Eagan)
Need a ride?
The Dakota County CDA is partnering with DARTS to provide two bus routes for the afternoon. Each bus will leave the CDA’s office at 1 p.m. and visit three of the senior building and then arrive back at the CDA’s office by 4 p.m. Space on the buses is limited. To reserve a spot on the bus, call 651-675-4432.

  • Bus #1: Visits Parkview Plaza, River Heights Terrace and Cahill Commons
  • Bus #2: Visits Cobblestone Square and Oakwoods of Eagan
