Back to school
 School board candidate filing is now open in four Dakota County school districts.
Candidates can now file in the school districts of Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan Public School District 196, West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan Area School District 197, Inver Grove Heights Community School District 199 and Hastings Public School District 200.
Each school district has four school board positions up for election.
Candidates can file at their school district office. The filing period ends on Aug. 16. A list of upcoming elections and filing requirements are available on the Dakota County website.
