It’s not too early to think gardening
Attend a free one-hour workshop.Attend a free one-hour workshop with the Dakota County Soil & Water Conservation District to learn how you can help water quality by building a raingarden and apply for a $250 grant to help build it.

Join the Soil & Water Conservation District for a free Blue Thumb presentation to see dozens of inspirational and affordable garden designs that integrate native plants and clean our waters.

After attending, you can receive design and installation assistance. Some Dakota County residents will also qualify for a $250 grant to install their new gardens.

Workshops will be held at the following locations and times:

  • Thursday, March 24: West St. Paul, Dakota Lodge, 1200 Stassen Lane, 6:15 p.m.
  • Monday, April 4: Farmington, Farmington Library, 508 Third Street, 6:15 p.m.
  • Tuesday, April 5: Apply Valley, Apple Valley Municipal Center, 7100 West 147th Street.
