Committee Current Vacancies
The Dakota County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for expiring terms and mid-term vacancies on the citizen advisory committees listed below. Review the citizen advisory committee descriptions to decide which committee best matches your interests.

If you are interested in serving on any of these committees please download the application form or contact the County Administration Department at 651-438-4418 to obtain an application form. Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

Citizen advisory committee applications are retained for one year. Prior applicants need not submit a new application, but should contact the Sr. Administrative Coordinator to the Board to indicate continued interest for a specific appointment.

Community Corrections Advisory Board

Dakota-Scott Workforce Investment Board

Note: A qualified private-sector applicant must be the owner of a business concern, chief executive, or chief operating officer of a non-governmental employer, or a private sector executive with substantial management or policy responsibility. Private sector applicants must be nominated by a general-purpose business organization (e.g. chamber of commerce).

Note: Applicants must have 10 or more years of experience in a managerial position with an organization comparable to Dakota County, or five or more years of professional level experience in the area of labor relations or civil law. Individuals who may not serve on the Board are: those who have a contractual, commercial or professional relationship with Dakota County; those who are employed by the county; or those who hold a county office or are a candidate for any county office.
